Don’t get the impression that I take pleasure in “I told you so” comments, particularly about a subject that brings so much pain to so many people.  Bottom line is the supposedly recovering economy is a farce to somewhere between 15,000,000 to 22,000,000 people who are unemployed or underemployed.  Unemployment continues to rise even though the stock market is up and factory productivity is up!  Its not supposed to work that way. By the time these indicators improve (sales and productivity), layoff’s should have stopped and hiring should have re-started.  Not this time!

Early this week the Feds announced that the United States is officially out of the Great Recession simply because we had one month of positive numbers in consumer sales and factory productivity!   Yet on Thursday (pretty much obliterated by the news of the massacre at Ft Hood) Feds announced another 190,000 job losses in October raising official unemployment to 10.2%.  Government forecasts predicted only 175,000 October job losses, but they missed that call like they’ve missed every prior month this year.

The explanation for why its happening this way can be found in my prior blogs (below),  “7 Reasons US Economy Doesn’t Favor Traditional Employment”

Why do I write all these ‘doom and gloom’ predications?  My mission is to advise you what I see evolving for America and to warn of a dramatically changing economy and how to cope.   So far, I havent provided much in the way of coping advice however I will begin to do so shortly. Self employment and entrepreneurship is at an all time high.  Mostly driven by not having jobs of course, and that is precisely the point….when good job prospects aren’t abundant, people turn to themselves to survive.

The very same influences that are changing the US economy to be unfavorable to traditional jobs, are positively influencing the entrepreneur.  Technology and the Global Economy are two of the biggest reasons entrepreneurs can be succesful much more easily today that ever before.

I will continue to keep you abreast of the economy and employment trends AND I will begin to comment on alternatives for survival and success in the New US Economy.  As the unemployment roles grow, many who have set out on their own, forgetting traditional employment, are doing just fine independently.

Till next time.  [Please see prior blogs below for a full explanation of the influences on the US Economy and how these are permanent changes]

Welcome to Part Two of the Genesis of “Get Going to Get Going“.

As I closed Part One, I commented that Geo and I planned a meeting at my mountain cabin to make plans to fix our mutual plight.

Although focusing on our own needs we quickly became acutely aware and could not ignore the plight of millions of Americans who were out of work.  Unemployment reached 60 year highs of over 15M people and many had been jobless as long as a year.  I began to meet people through networking meetings that were really hurting.  They were jobless for extended periods, had families and bills…some were losing their homes. Financial institutions were stonewalling them then foreclosing on their homes.  It was so bleak for so many.  We couldn’t ignore the real issues which reached well beyond our personal circumstances.

Always a student of business and the economy I became more inquisitive to learn what was really going on in the US and Global economy and how that affected the chances for jobs, careers and pay.  What became obvious was the rapidly changing fundamentals in the US economy, fundamentals that are here to stay likely for years to come and that affect all of us that work for a living whether blue collar or white collar.  (see my personal blog  Titled  “Jobs, Careers and Other Myths”  located at (”www.AlSauvageau.com“)

During our planning weekend at my mountain cabin, Geo and I began mapping the issues facing most Americans today, defining the most critical issues, potential remedies and how we could help others without going broke ourselves.  What we came away with was the beginning of the  “Get Going 2 Get Growing” concept although it’s been significantly fine tuned since the original concept .

Our mission is to help people (maybe like you) that are struggling financially, frustrated, or simply want to change their life. We help by offering various self employment/entrepreneurship opportunities so you  can achieve the life of abundance you deserve.  You may want a full time job replacement OR simply a supplement to current income.  Anything we offer will be a result of  our personal involvement with the people and the program OR someone we know personally.

Imagine that!  We drink the Kool Aid first, before offering it to you.   There are other options:

>There are sites full of information to help people but no plan of action to make it happen!

>There are sites chock full of  ‘affiliate links’  they know nothing about yet they make money when you sign up anyway!

>There are sites promising a world of riches working only a few hours a week!  Right!

>There are sites that will sell you anything as long as they make a buck!

Get Going 2 Get Growing is Unique in our commitment to You.  We want to help you find a new life for yourself… a life of full or part time self employment /entrepreneurship so you can achieve the life of abundance you deserve.  You will have to work for it and it won’t happen overnight yet you can achieve success in short order.

Stay tuned often to see what  “Get Going 2 Get Growing“  has in store for you.

Till next time and to a life of abundance.
